Apprenticeship
Step into the shoes of an herbalist, foodie and kitchen witch.
This program is for anyone who wants to learn how to cook, bake and create dishes and remedies while using the plant spirits for guidance. Together, we'll learn about their energetics, history, fun facts and tips as well as prepare them for food and healing.
This in person apprenticeship meets for 3 months, one Sunday each month. A supply list will be given to students when they register and those items need to be brought on the correct class day. All other supplies will be gathered by Daisy for students during their class times.
Connect with the Land
We’ll learn about plant spirit medicine, plant history and folklore, preparing and creating sacred space, food safety, baking/cooking/kitchen skills, botany, identification of poisonous and toxic plants, plant family characteristics, native, non-native and invasive species, gardening, herbalism, wildlife safety, sustainability and ethics — just to name a few things.
Small Groups, Open HearTed community
Come with the willingness to learn about what the plants can teach us. Our sections are kept small (between 8 and 10 students) so we can create a sacred space for support and respect to bloom. As we dive into boundary work, we’ll learn what that means for each person, plant and landscape.
No matter your race, gender, sexual preference, identity, religion or any other labels you might use to describe yourself, as long as you’re over the age of 21, all are welcome here.
Schedule
Each class opens with creating sacred space for our journey. A plant meditation guides us through the passageway to the rest of the day for creating tasty foods and natural remedies as well as identification and properties. After lunch, the class is presented as a "kitchen lab" where herbal foods and remedies will be created together.
